The FOEX is engineered to handle a wide variety of high-viscosity recipes, including chewy candies, toffees, and caramels. Its twin-screw, co-rotating design is both strong and adaptable, allowing manufacturers to adjust to multiple mass variations with a single machine. The entire unit is built on a single base frame with all product-contact parts made of durable stainless steel.

 

Consistent Flow and Easy Maintenance
One of the core features of the FOEX is its intermeshing, self-wiping screws. This design ensures that the machine remains clean during operation and simplifies the teardown process for maintenance. To guarantee a constant and de-aerated mass flow, the infeed section can be customized with a twin-screw, counter-rotating design or other tailor-made solutions depending on the specific product requirements.

 

Multi-Color Flexibility
For products requiring multiple colors or flavors, the FOEX offers two sophisticated configurations:

 

  • Diemix Integration: A Diemix unit can be attached to blend colors and flavors directly before the die.
  • Twin-Forming System: This setup places two extruders on a shared frame, feeding into a common die for seamless two-colored products.
